11:05 pm: I can't say I mind the boat this way. It's kind of pretty. The ocean's a little worrisome, but I'm letting it go for now. Anyone try to take pictures? I took a few with my camera, but I'm guessing they'll look normal tomorrow.

Too bad. Maybe I can find a kindergarten class to bring here and draw the boat in exchange for a storytime or something.

I do tell a damn fine story.

09:25 pm: I sleep better on the water than the land. Hadn't really thought about it, but I've been keeping track, and last night? I slept like a very tired baby who isn't like most babies I've known. Meaning I actually slept the night through.

08:22 pm: This is a little further back then I ever wanted to go.

I'm going to go see if I can convince my "coffee maker" to make me something resembling coffee. If not, I'm going to see if the "teapot" has any ideas.

10:14 pm: If you ever find yourself adrift in a life raft with limited fresh water, you're supposed to drink your own urine before salt water.

This has been your seafaring survival tip of the day.

You're welcome.

08:27 pm: Okay, so I've been a little busy.

Turns out I really should hire an accountant. Or something. This is what I get for being out of the country for years. A distinct lack of W2 forms.

Yeah, tax day seems ages away now, but I saw the forms in the library today and realized my taxes are nowhere near simple. So. Damn. Accountant.

Any accountants around?

My boat's done. Feels kind of weird not having it to work on. Not that it'll last. Boats always need working on. That's one of the great/annoying things about boats.

Anyone got any suggestions for a part time job for a guy who's done almost everything you can do without an advanced degree or license?

01:22 pm: I love finding just the right thing for someone for the holidays. It's a great feeling to see something and just know that a friend will love it.

12:19 am: I've just realized how many people I promised to send a card or something for Christmas.

I think I need to start writing now so everything will reach the right places in time. Or just give up and wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope they get there in time for that.

Tough to believe it's already Thanksgiving. Seriously. I haven't had Thanksgiving dinner in years

11:12 am: I think today is a beachcombing day. It seems like a good idea. I've been so focused on the boat and everything that I haven't been keeping up with my usual hobbies. That's a damn shame, really. So, beachcombing today.

I hesitate to describe the undead as 'fun', but at least it wasn't boring? Maybe 'exciting' is a better word.

09:09 pm: Closed 3rd Person - Zombie Plot
Given the stories he'd heard and read about since moving back to Tampa, Greg had expected to wake up and find the city turned upside down. Literally. Or maybe full of bobble heads. Or all speaking Hungarian.

Instead of any of that it seemed perfectly normal.

"Well," he said as he headed down to start working on the boat for the day. "This isn't so bad. I feel a little cheated."

"Cheated out of what?" someone asked from the other side of the boat.

Greg walked around the bow and stared.

"Damn, I got old fast," he muttered, eyeing King Caspian X.

06:42 pm: Work on the boat goes apace.

I always liked that word: apace. It's one of those words that when you look at it for too long it doesn't look like it should be real, but it's got a good sound to it.

And it's true for the boat. I have no idea when it'll be done, but hopefully not long from now.

11:01 am: Interesting experience. Interesting city. I thought I was going to miss my itinerant ways but it looks like there's plenty here to keep me on my toes without me needing to hop on a train and head off somewhere where I don't speak the language.
